When installing Windows 2000 Server, carefully read "Cautions
when installing Windows 2000 Server" before starting work.
Cautions when installing Windows 2000 Server
Hyper-Threading function
To enable the Hyper-Threading function, enable "Hyper-
Threading" in the BIOS Setup Utility's Advanced Menu, then
install the OS manually.
NOTE: Hyper-Threading is set to “Enabled” by default.
With one CPU configuration, If the OS was installed with the
setting "Disabled", the Hyper-Threading function cannot be used
even if set to "Enabled" after installing the OS.

RAID configuration
When installing the OS manually, configure the RAID manually
beforehand.

When an MO Disk Drive is connected.
When an MO Disk Drive is connected, disconnect the signal cable
from the device beforehand and connect it again after installing.
See “SCSI device” on page 113.
Selection of each driver for manual installation is mainly
explained in this section.
