Hardware setup information
Perform the following operations if the hardware setup information is to be
forcibly returned to the standard settings (defined data):
1 Start the server after setting the required jumper switch on the mother board
of the server to Clear.
J2J1: 2-3 Clear ... Clears the hardware data settings.
1-2 Protect ... Standard (Defined data)
When existing data is cleared, the following message will be dis-
played:
2 Shut down the server, then turn power off, and return the switch to Pro-
tect.
Start the system setup utility (SSU) and the BIOS setup utility and enter
data different from the recommended settings.
Note: The standard settings displayed after the original data has been
cleared are the initial data of the mother board, and they differ from the
defaults (recommended settings).
When the original data is cleared, data settings on the onboard SCSI con-
troller will also be cleared.
Settings on the EMP function are not returned to the standard settings.
Note: Before clearing information, remove all expantion cards.
Enabling/disabling the Wake On LAN feature
The Wake On LAN feature can be made valid or invalid by setting the required
jumper switch.
J5A2: 2-3 Enable ... Makes the Wake On LAN feature valid.
1-2 Disable ... Makes the Wake On LAN feature
invalid (defined value).
