The Grand Tour
Underside
The following figure shows the underside of the computer. You should
ensure that the display is closed before the computer is turned over to
avoid causing any damage.

Always make sure the display panel is closed in Laptop mode before
turning the computer upside down.

2nd battery port
Notches
Notches
2nd battery port Use this port to connect an optional 2nd Battery
Pack.
Keep foreign metal objects, such as screws, staples and paper clips, out of
the 2nd battery port. Foreign metal objects can create a short circuit, which
can cause damage and fire, possibly resulting in serious injury.
Notches The notches on the computer are used to
securely connect the 2nd Battery Pack to the
computer.
Memory module slot The slot B memory module is located here.
The memory module slot allows installation,
replacement and removal of an additional
memory module.
Refer to the Additional memory module section in
Chapter 3, Features, Utilities and Options.
